The Wellington 47 was the first boat built by Wellington Boats, Inc. in Jacksonville and the builder lived aboatd and sailed the Med before returning and building additional 47's and a 44' model. There were optional layouts and some were fully built by the manufacturer and some finished by the owners.

This boat has a full keel with centerboard, trunk cabin, motor sailer, ketch rig. She has two cabins amd two heads; the forward cabin has been configured as a workshop.

This boat enjoyed considerable upgrade and refit in the 2007 era, and has had virtually no use since the passing of the owner in 2008. Please see the detailed listing regarding the upgrades and work done on the essential sysytems.

In early 2011 she was hauled and the bottom sanded and painted. No  bottom issues were discovered.

This is an excellent blue water cruising / live aboard yacht.
