Overview

Legendary and Affordable Blue Water Cruiser

Be sure to watch the walkthough video above!

Westsail has a well deserved reputation for building tough, safe, go anywhere blue water cruisers.  Back when Westsail was producing boats, they offered the option of buying one unfinished.  Many owners during that time customized the layout themselves, and finished them on their own.   Centurion came out of the factory mold in 1977, and was finished out by her original owner and launched in 1981.

Centurion is a center cockpit yawl, with two staterooms and two heads. Her staysail yawl rig includes a yankee jib, self tending staysail and boom, mainsail, and mizzen.  This highly adaptable rig allows multiple sail configurations to match any condition.   The staysail yawl rig is classic, beautiful, and efficient.

William Crealock designed the Westsail 42 with one purpose in mind-  safe and comfortable long range cruising. This heavy displacement, full keel cruiser will take you anywhere you can dream of.

Brokers Remarks

This Westsail 42 is a fantastic value and was just delivered to Pensacola from Virginia in 2016.  She handled the 2000 nm trip beautifully.

Her engine runs smoothly and quietly, and she is a balanced sailor  The bottom was just painted in 2015, and any blisters found were repaired at that time.   Her blue Awlgrip looks great, exterior wood is in good condition, and her decks are solid.

Like most cruisers of this age, she does have a few cosmetic projects that could be accomplished by her next owner.  She could benefit from having her interior teak refinished, her interior upholstery is near the end of it's life, and some areas of headliner are in need of replacing. These are all straightforward projects, and are cosmetic in nature.

The boat is ready to leave the dock again today, and would make a fantastic blue water cruiser or live aboard.

Give me a call on my cell, I would be happy to tell you more about this impressive vessel.
