Accommodations
Eagle Wings is the preferred Pearson 39 configuration with the two private head, cabin arrangement. Cockpit is large and has a deep lazerette to port. The helm seat allows the helmsman view across the instrument module through the dodger.

Forward is the large vee berth (with filler) that will sleep two 6'plus crew. In this private cabin is a hanging locker and storage under the vee berth. Additional storage is found in shelving along the hull. There is even an opening hatch and opening port. The head and shower is separate from the main salon.

Aft the forward cabin is the main salon with selective use of teak wood to provide a quailty feeling not available on other sailboats of this vintage. The port settee can be used as a single berth. A folding centerline dinette opens to serve up to eight crew or guests comfortably. The "U" shaped starboard settee converts to a large double berth.

Behind the port settee is the forward facing full nav station with a full instrument panel complete with am/fm stereo, hand GPS (and laptop), two VHF radios and battery monitor.

Across from the nav station is the "L" shaped galley with a deep double lid refrigerator/freezer, double stainless steel sink, and three burner stove and oven. Specially designed corian sink and stove covers provide ample space for even the most experienced cook. There are shelves, sliding door cabinets, shelves, and four drawers for storage. The main head, with electric toilet and shower is down the companionway to port. Eagle Wings private aft cabin is to starboard and has a double berth, hanging locker and small bureau with drawers. Ventilation is provided by two opening ports.

Galley
The "L" shaped galley design puts every appliance within arm's length whether cleaning, retriving food from the deep refrigerator/freezer, or cooking on the three burner gimballed stove (with oven). Galley is complete with dishes and utentials for six. A new (2003) Nova Kool refrigeration unit is quiet and efficient. Corian counter tops were installed in 2003 and complement the salon cushion material.

Electrical
In 2003 the electrical system was upgraded with the addition of a 2.5kw inverter/battery charger. A link 2000 battery monitor was installed in 2005.

Engine Room and Mechanical
Eagle Wings has an upgraded 55hp Westerbeke engine with approimately 550 engine hours. The 16,000 BTU/hr reverse cycle air conditioner water pump was replaced in 2004. Helmsman can monitor engine performance from the cockpit panel (analog gauges).

Navigation Electronics
Attention has been taken with instrumention upgrades (2003) to the navigation electronics with 24 mile radar/color chart plotter, Std. Horizon VHF with RAM mike and DSC, and Epirb (with GPS transponder). There is even a hand held Garmin GPS interfaced with a 1998 vintage computer.

The full status 110v/12volt instrument panel has monitor accessory status lights and battery status, along with a spare VHF radio.

Deck and Hull
The Pearson hull design draws attention from dock mates or fellow travelers from the bow entry profile to the wide walkways and clean decks. She is designed for extended cruising or club racing.

The large helm wheel gives great steering control. A Maxwell electrical windlass easily raises either main anchor.

A dodger keeps the crew dry during rough seas while the bimini (with connector) protects the crew from the hot Florida sun. There is ample cockpit storage in the large lazerette or any of the other three storage pockets. Manual dinghy davits can be extended for dinghy transportation or closed for convenience.

Sails and Rigging
Eagle Wings is designed for the single handed sail with all lines (including lazy jacks and reefing lines), run through line stoppers into the aft cockpit. Sail control can be made without leaving the cockpit. A complete complement of sails are included for long term cruising. The anchor windlass makes raising the anchor a snap. The large helm wheel allows infinite control of the yacht.
It is a breeze to sail.
