Overview

Fresh Water Boat Until 2012

This 48 Sedan is Immaculate!

Be Sure To Watch The Walk-through Video Above!

This Ed Monk Jr. designed trawler features two staterooms and two heads.  "Molly" is classically designed and equipped with modern boat handling equipment to make maneuvering and docking a snap, even when shorthanded.  She is very well equipped, incredibly clean, and has extremely low operating hours.

"Molly" has spent half of her life in the fresh water Great Lakes.  She started out on Lake Michigan in a covered slip, and was then brought to the Gulf Coast in 2012, where she was again stored under cover.   In 2015 she was relocated to her current location in Pensacola.

Her current owner is fanatical about maintenance and it shows.  Her interior and exterior show minimal use and wear.  Her gel coat, decks, and canvas are in very good condition.  Her engine room is one of the cleanest I have seen.  All systems in the engine room are labeled for easy maintenance.

With her above average care and super low hours on her engines and systems, this boat shows like a much newer vessel.

Come see for yourself, and prepare to be impressed!

Descriptions

Acommodations

The Classico 48 Sedan is a classic trawler and a great choice for cruising shorthanded. This extremely functional vessel offers two spacious and luxurious staterooms, each with its own head. The galley hosts a full-sized sink, large refrigerator and freezer, microwave, smooth top stove, and Black granite counter tops. The bow features a large master stateroom with a queen-sized center line berth and generous use of honey-colored teak. Cedar-lined hanging lockers and custom cabinets provide copious amounts of storage space. Standard Diamond Sea-Glaze doors provide convenient aft access to the salon with built-in settee finished with Ultraleather and teak table. A teak and holly sole runs the length of the yacht to complement the rich honey tones of straight-grain teak hardwoods and veneers. Full upper and lower helms with full instrumentation allows the skipper to choose to cruise in climate controlled comfort or topside for an open-air experience. Substantial windows provide enjoyable viewing in the salon or from the settee located on the upper bridge.

Main Salon

The Main Salon is comfortable, warm, and inviting.  It can be accessed from the heavy aft sliding door or via the starboard mid-ship door. The wrap around windows with roman shades offer plenty of natural lighting.  There is plenty of comfortable seating, great storage areas and easy, same level access to the galley and lower helm station.

Galley

The Galley is "UP", forward and to port on the same level as the salon area.  Opposite to starboard is the lower helm station and side door.

Master Stateroom and Head

The master stateroom is forward and center line to the boat.  Adjacent to starboard is the private master head with a stall shower.

Guest Stateroom and Head

The private guest stateroom is forward and down a few steps to port. This space has crossed over/under bunks for two guests. The Guest Head is opposite to starboard.

Flybridge / Upper Deck

The flybridge and upper deck on "Molly" is the perfect space to run the boat and entertain guests.  There is plenty of comfortable seating areas out of the sun under the full length bimini.

Deck

The Deck layout on the Ocean Alexander 48 Sedan is one of the best in its class. Full walk around side decks, a spacious covered aft deck and a large aft lazarette storage space are among the highlights.

Cockpit

Mechanical and Electrical

The Mechanical space on Molly can be accessed via a hatch in the galley, by lifting up the forward companionway stairs or by the lazarette aft.  The engine room is large and well laid out.  It is incredibly clean and very well maintained with labels affixed on most everything with service information.

Bridge Clearance For Great Loop

The Great Loop has two different height restrictions depending on the route.  Route 1-Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal -- bridge clearance should be under 17 ft, and route 2-Calumet-Sag Channel -- bridge clearance should be under 19 feet.

Approximate measurements were taken on 4/17/17
