The GH47 is the epitome of livability with total space matching that of far longer boats. Boarding is convenient from either side directly into the cockpit from starboard or via the large swim platform from port or starboard. There are raised boarding gates on both sides when alongside higher docks or with the included sturdy ladder or gangway. Every space inside is maximized with her full beam design, starting with the aft salon. Moving forward you'll find her large, fully equipped gourmet galley to port and utility room to starboard. Ahead are the 3-person guest stateroom to port, guest head with tub to starboard, and ensuite master stateroom with centerline queen berth. All are just two steps down. Up several steps from the salon you'll find another stateroom with queen berth and ensuite day head and the very well equipped pilothouse, which features an extensive command center and L-settee, which also converts to a double berth. Forward is a large bow area with seating, while aft is access to her boat deck and huge upper observation deck.
The covered aft deck provides protection from the elements when boarding from either the swim platform or large starboard boarding door. Below the aft deck are a lazarette for storage and a large hatch providing access to the Seakeeper 9 gyro stabilizer professionally installed in late 2015 and showing less than 40 hours of operation on her color display. To port is a locker with a U-Line icemaker below and to starboard is another storage locker with an aft helm for docking. Mounted to the rail is a large West Marine propane grill.
The GH47 feature a huge salon with comfortable Stressless chairs to starboard and a very large Ultraleather L-settee with teak dining table to port. Sturdy wood chairs provide additional seating for dining or conversation. A home theater system, featuring a 39" Vizio HDTV with DirectTV and 5.1 surround sound, occupies the forward port corner. A window with drop down bar seating allows viewing into the galley. Forward to starboard is a small built in storage unit with bookshelves above. Large opening windows all around allow natural light in and are protected with elegant wood slat blinds.
Down just a couple steps and forward to port is the gourmet galley, complete with stainless steel, full size, Fridgidaire, side by side refrigerator with ice and water dispenser. Corian counters support a home-sized double basin sink and a faucet with a water purifier. An electric 4-burner glass top range sits atop the built in glass front oven and below the built-in Kenmore microwave. You'll also discover the included Oster convection oven, a Broan trash compactor, and abundant storage both above and below.
To starboard, abaft the galley, is the utility room which houses the full size, front loading washer and dryer. You'll also find a work bench, fuel polishing system, main electrical panel, and walk in access to the engine room.
Main Level Guest Accommodations
Forward of the galley to port is a guest stateroom with a settee that converts into a double berth and a drop down pullman single berth. Occupants of this space will enjoy a nice dresser with lighted mirror above and a spacious hanging locker as well. Across the companionway, to starboard, is the guest head. With full stand up height, this head features a large soaking tub and comfortable vanity.
Forward on the main level is a huge master suite with a centerline queen berth, built-in desk, and ensuite head. 6 portlights and an overhead hatch allow natural light in and provide ventilation. Lockers on both sides provide plenty of hanging space and more drawers than we can count complete your storage needs. A large vanity sink shares space with the stateroom while the head and huge shower are behind the door to port.
The second guest stateroom, or if you wish, captain's quarters, are located on the upper level aft of the pilothouse. A standard queen berth is elevated and surrounded by sliding windows protected by teak wood blinds. To port is a comfortable day head while a 6-drawer dresser completes the space.
Forward on the upper deck is the command center pilothouse featuring a centerline captain's helm chair. Mathers electronic twin shifters provide easy control of the Yanmar diesels while the MaxPower thruster provides plenty of thrust to control her bow. In the console are two newer Garmin 7215 15" touchscreen radar chartplotters. To port is a video panel for displaying video from the stern camera. The Simrad AP25 autopilot and FU25 Follow Up Steering Lever provide precise course following capabilities. Two Icom radios, a VHF IC-M604 and an SSB IC-M802 assure good communication both near shore and off. Sirius-XM integrated with the chartplotters feed the Clarion AM/FM/CD driving speakers in all four corners. To starboard is the color display and control center for the Seakeeper 9 gyro stabilizer system and to port is a signal mate horn control console. You'll also find controls for the Maxwell 1500 windlass and bow mounted Jabsco searchlight. The crew will enjoy the beige Ultraleather L-settee with its large expandable table which drops down to convert to a double berth. Wall mounted reading lights and a chart rack are occupy the wall above the settee. Pilothouse windows are protected with Textylene screens and ship quality, weathertight aluminum doors allow access to both side decks.
The pilothouse is protected by a Portuguese bridge with a door on the centerline for bow access. Here you'll find built-in storage and seating and a flat sole for line handling. Mounted anchors include a 40 lb Rocna and a 65 lb Plow which are operated via the Maxwell 1500 horizontal windlass. A low mounted bow eye with bridal allows for reduced scope and more effective holding of her ground tackle. Aft of the pilothouse is an electric Strongarm crane for deploying her 10' West Marine RIB with 8 hp Mercury outboard. Here you'll find steps to the upper observation deck, protected by sturdy stainless rails as well as the aluminum spar-style electronics mast, which folds to reduce bridge clearance.
The comfortable engine room can be accessed from either the utility room or the large hatch in the salon sole. A pair of low hour 75 hp Yanmar diesels deliver efficient propulsion while the 13 kw Maspower genset provides AC support. The primary battery bank, of 1840 Ah at 12V, is comprised of 16 230 Ah, 6V West Marine batteries replaced in the last two years. A Seafari water maker sits to port while the Xantrex 2500 watt inverter is to starboard.
