General

"Redheads" is beautiful!

The recently painted red bottom under a buffed blue hull and white decks makes this Alerion Express stunning. The Yanmar 14 hp engine powering the sail drive with the 2 blade folding prop delivers a smooth controllable drive when the "iron sail" is needed.

The classic tiller, long open cockpit with high coaming, and easily accessed to the running rigging makes for a safe and comfortable sail. The Raymarine ST60+ tri-data electronics (speed, wind direction and depth) are located on the port bulkhead with a compass located on the starboard side. The excellent condition furling footloose club jib and mainsail makes sailing this vessel a breeze.

The cabin offers many amenities: Kenyon's one burner alcohol stove, deep steel sink and ice box (that doubles as the step). The head is located below the port-side V berth cushions. The curtained V berth provides a sleeping berth for two people.

For a 2009 Alerion the overall condition of "Redheads" is excellent!
