Capt. Joe is based in Ft. Myers, Florida, but travels wherever his clients need him. He operates a full service rigging, refit, repair, and management service, specializing in catamarans. Joe was previously the Technical Adviser to Manta Catamarans, and has an intimate knowledge of the Manta fleet. He is an active delivery captain, yachting instructor, and instructor trainer. As a consultant, he addresses all technical and practical aspects of yacht design, construction, equipment, and use.
Capt. Joe has sailed and delivered innumerable boats along the Pacific and Atlantic coasts, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Caribbean. He has logged approximately 100,000 miles offshore, and can not wait for more. Joe lived aboard his 35 ft. catamaran for 8 years with his family, and cruised Central America for two years with his wife and three daughters. He has cruised the Pacific Northwest, Florida, Hawaii, the Bahamas, and BVI as well. He also owns a Tollycraft 26 powerboat for offshore fishing, and a Hobie 16 for serious racing.
Capt. Joe earned his USCG Master license in 1993, and is currently a 100 ton Master, power and sail. When customer demand led him to teaching, Joe earned US Sailing Instructor certifications for Keelboat and Cruising levels in 1998. Shortly thereafter, he was invited by US Sailing to become an instructor trainer. He earned Basic Keelboat through Passage Making Instructor Trainer, Master Catamaran Instructor Trainer, and became a member of US SAILING National Faculty.
